Where We Teach

United States - (Regionally located in Southeast United States) former classes have been taught in AL, GA, Northwest FL, MS, TN, and LA.

We instruct in the area of Foley/Gulf Shores AL. Depending upon the size of the group, time of year, teaching area availability, and temperatures. The location of your class will be discussed at booking and we will list a few options in the event of overcrowding or environmental factors.

We can also travel to a location that is mutually agreed upon during booking, some travel is included in pricing. If travel is needed outside the included price range, the price increase will be discussed upon booking. Please let us know if you need us to travel outside of a 1 hour drive of Foley, AL.

We will find a location that we are all comfortable with having as an instructional location. We must be able to provide safe instruction in areas that allow for the fewest distractions.

When We Teach

Our fly casting and fly fishing classes are available all year.

Our kayak classes typically start March 1st and end on November 1st, but we are weather dependent, so the season could be longer or shorter. Contact us if you would like to book outside of this date range.

Equipment We Provide

We can instruct with your equipment or provide some or all the equipment for students.

We are able to provide the following:

All Kayaking equipment, including sit on top kayaks, paddles, safety equipment, and all other required equipment for class and safety. We do need to know your approximate height and weight so that we can bring the appropriate safety gear.

All required fly fishing equipment, including, fly rods, reels, line, leaders, tippet, practice fly/flies, safety glasses, and any thing else required for class and safety.

We provide box lunches (for full day bookings).

Water for all students and snacks (regardless of class length and size).

Please let us know if there are any food allergies.

What You Need to Bring

If you are participating in Kayaking in any way, you will need to bring a change of clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting wet (or at least wear something that you can get wet in, such as a swimsuit or something quick drying). Part of the instruction is to learn how to re-enter a kayak when on the water and for that we must be in the water.

If not kayaking, you need to where comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring sunscreen as needed. We do provide safety glasses for any fly casting lessons. Please let us know if you wear eyewear (glasses) so that we can provide the proper safety wear.
